Larry "Boomer" Foster was practically destined for real estate. His uncle, P. Wesley Foster, Jr., founded Long & Foster Real Estate in 1968 — building it into the largest privately owned residential real estate company in the United States. Today, Boomer brings that same drive and that same family commitment to his role as President and CEO of Paul Wesley Real Estate, a family-owned, values based independent brokerage serving Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC.
Boomer's path to the corner office was anything but a shortcut. Before real estate, he spent nearly eight years as a trial lawyer in South Carolina, licensed in the state's Circuit Court, Court of Appeals, Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. That legal background gave him a sharp analytical mind and a tenacious work ethic he carried into every role that followed.
After joining Long & Foster as a sales associate, he became a top producer in his very first year. In 2007, he took over as branch manager of the Kingstowne Centre office in Alexandria — and the number of agents there more than doubled under his leadership. By 2010, he was appointed Senior Vice President overseeing the Northern Virginia and West Virginia region. In 2014, he was named President of General Brokerage, and by 2021 he led the company's entire footprint of 200+ offices and 10,000+ agents across seven states and Washington, D.C.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina — where he earned both an English degree and his J.D. — Boomer is also a four-year letterman on the Gamecock football team. That competitive spirit shows up in everything he does, from championing new technology partnerships to launching agent training and professional development programs that keep associates ahead of the curve.
At Paul Wesley Real Estate, Boomer leads with the philosophy his uncle instilled and that has guided the family for decades: put people first, and the rest will take care of itself.
